Anybody in the house know Latvian?

I found a link in the referrers to a Latvian blog where they’re discussing a previous entry here. Can anyone offer a translation? Google and Babelfish don’t do Latvian (something I’m sure Google, at least, will soon correct, with their forthcoming influx of cash).

I’ve always wanted to go to the Baltic in winter… closest I’ve been to Latvia is Estonia in the midnight sun.

Hey, Mark!

I am surprised by your interest going as far as wanting to be able to read what's written there.
Latvian is not spoken by so many people... (though baltic languages are quite old :)

I guess I am in a position to translate it, especially if I am "guilty" of posting a reference to your blog entry that started the comments.

Please e-mail me and I'll send you a translation. Now its getting too late...

P.S. When you intend to visit Latvia, drop me an e-mail.
