Johnny’s an evil little man, but he’s no W. Granted, they’re pals, but the Australian people won’t let him get away with nearly as much.

Unfortunately the Australian citizenry have returned Howard to power with an increased mandate such that he can get away with pretty much anything he wants.
This amazes me since no-one here will admit to liking or voting for him. The parallels with the Thatcher regime in the UK are so strong...
