Advertise on the BBC!

Is it just me, or is this a thinly-veiled press release?

I don’t see how Bluetooth is relevant; they might as well point out that it runs on electricity and uses transistors. Sure, the fact that it’s wireless is innovative, but it’s hardly worth mentioning Bluetooth in the headline and a pullout. The fact is, a cable would be just as good. The real story is that there’s a new diagnostic tool that happens to use bluetooth, but it ends up reading like Bluetooth is directly responsible for saving lives.

What happened to journalistic integrity? Re-publishing press releases is common practice for local TV, not the beeb (I’d have hoped).
