Follow2

Follow 2 is no longer supported or actively developed; it hasn't been since 1998.

What is Follow2?

Instead of giving hit counts (like most Web log analysis tools), Follow tracks 'User Sessions'. a User Session is one complete path that a user takes through your site; Follow will reconstruct it from the logfiles. Then, you have your choice of how to view the data. You can view sessions directly, on a Page-by-Page basis to reveal how a particular page is used, or in a Summary to highlight outstanding pages.

By using the Page-by-Page and Summary views, you can determine how long users spend on a page, how they reach it, where they go from it and other statistics. This information can help you design a more usable Web site.

Follow gets the most possible information out of your log files, while still being net-friendly; it doesn't require your users to run a java browser, and doesn't force you to modify your site in any way. Follow works best on normal, everyday Web sites that don't use proprietary technologies to try to outguess the user.

To get an idea of what you can get out of Follow, have a look at the samples (Links in sample pages are disabled, except for 'help' and 'return to main' buttons) :
