Pretty much all of the wire feed companies are involved in the NewsML 
and XML News efforts. For example, Reuters uses NewsML (data format) 
and ICE (transport), and WAVO is delivering news in XMLNews, and is
on 
the ICE AG. That's a couple of thousand feeds there. One nice thing
is 
that since the feeds are all in XML, you can use XSLT, among other 
things, to map from the standard formats into whatever you need.
