RSS Module Template Suggestion [was: RSS Modularization Demo...]

Hi,

I'll be glad to fiddle with a registry/discussion/voting prototype
over the next few days. For the time being, though, a mailing
list is a fine venue for such proposals and associated discussion,
assuming the subject line is at all descriptive.

As far as a core set of modules is concerned, how about we just
start tossing about some ideas. Not to get too format about it,
how about the following template to start with:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Name(space):
Purpose:
Components / Element Set:
Example (optional):
--------------------------------------------------------------

For example:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Name(space):

  thread

Purpose:

  To allow the building of RSS-based threads by associating
  an
with a parent via unique identifier (usually URL).

Components / Element Set:

  * <thread:parent>
    The unique identifier (usually URL) of the parent
.

Example (optional):

     ...

re: A funny thing happened

        For me, it all started back in 1974...

       <threading:parent>
        http://fascinating.com/read.php?forum=nifty&id=123
       </threading:parent>

     ...

--------------------------------------------------------------

If there are no objections, I can post the example modules
used in my modularization demo (drawn partially from various
earlier suggestions on this and the RSS list) using the
above-mentioned template.

What do you folks think? We could use an XML template, but
I think some might consider that more than is necessary and
not a little bit pedantic ;-)
