Meerkat[1], as I just posted understands RSS 0.9, 0.91, 1.0, and
scriptingNews formats.  I just checked[2] my.userland.com[3] for support
(via backward compatibility with 0.9) of an RSS 1.0 feed and it worked
like a charm!  Moreover, another huge producer of RSS, specializes in
scraping HTML to RSS, not taking in RSS feeds.
