Question: discovering sources

I'm working on building a news search engine using RDF feeds as my basis. I've checked out Scripting, Meerkat and XMLtree and they are all great but I want to find a way to discover feeds from the motherload: my.netscape. I've checked their directory and it looks like it's just a proprietary setup that links the channel to the my.netscape page. Has anyone looked into figuring out the source of feeds going into the my.netscape page? What I want to do is essentially store all those feeds in a DB and when you type in a keyword in my search engine, it returns stories from all the sources that have been discovered. Netscape seems to have the largest repository out there and I'm wondering how I can get access to THOSE feeds. Has anyone done some work along those lines?
