Re: [syndication] [OT] RSS History

In my opinion, the question should have been asked for the list to consider,
separate from the goodness of RDF or namespaces.

In general I believe that's the way it's done among professionals, for
example at the W3C and IETF. I could be wrong, perhaps it is the volume of
posts that counts the most. But that doesn't seem reasonable to me,
sometimes people are busy, or are taking vacations (esp in August) or are
scared to participate when the strong opinions are expressed. That's why
polls work so well, it gives everyone a voice, whether or not they are
prolific posters.

And to be perfectly honest Ken, as one of the participants here, from the
beginning, I never imagined that the RSS would change so radically without
being asked whether I support the move or not. It was a surprising way to
work. I can tell you personally it shook my faith in the open development
process. I am being sincere here, I hope you and others accept that.

Can you provide an example of another open technology that is managed in
this way?
