Agreed!  Anarchy works, btw.  The IETF is a great example.  All it takes is
rough consensus, working code.  (Though IMO the IETF has begun to have its own
political problems, that's due to size and being "loved to death" by MS, Lotus,
etc.)

You don't need membership, voting, hierarchy, etc. etc.  You just need people
willing to put a stake in the ground without getting their ego all wrapped up in
little technical nits.  A few ground rules from the open source community might
be helpful as well....  One of those ground rules is:  if you fork, you find a
new name.  The original stakeholders, assuming they maintain an active interest,
get the original name.

It's all a freaking hell of a lot simpler than you're all making it.
