While this may have been true in the past, at least I (and probably others
in the RSS-WG) see RSS as a framework for all types of syndication.
Certainly, the format has had quite a bit of usefulness in headline
syndication, and is well designed for that type of application. However,
we're working to make sure that RSS can work for any type of syndication.

Personally, I've introduced the content module which is designed to allow
syndication of actual web content, much as is seen on Yahoo!. While it's not
entirely finished yet, I'd be more than happy to work with others who are
interested in using it in real applications.

Just because that was RSS's past, doesn't mean that it's its future.
