Re: [syndication] Source ID
Julian, <source> is used if you got the item from another source. For
example if you pick up a bit from Scripting News, it carries a <source>
element that says "These wise words came from Scripting News."
As the spec says: "The purpose of this element is to propogate credit for
links, to publicize the sources of news items."
The other links were as they always were in previous RSSs.
I had another idea last night, after reading a post on the Radio mail list
[1], that it would be interesting to add an element (optional of course) to
<channel> that contains a pointer to a list of your favorite RSS sources. It
could be very interesting and could be viral. The goal of course is to
propogate knowledge of other sources of news, to help build the network.
Like the links down the left-edges of many weblogs.
