Radio and Syndication

In reading some of the public comments on syndication technology in the last few days I realize that there's not much information being passed on about what Radio UserLand does in this area.

So I wanted to share a couple of pointers so you can see that there's a community of aggregators now, not just two or three. According to an hourly tally we run, there are 44 people running Radio aggregators. And on this page, you can see what their top choices are.

This gives you some idea of their interests, or which sites are producing interesting content for people who use this stuff. The list has had a few months to sort itself out.

One more pointer, if you're still interested, here's an email interview I did with Andy King when Radio was rolling out a couple of months ago. It explains how what we're doing in workstation software relates to the technology we're discussing here.

One more more thing. I'm working on the next release, it's codename is Smurf Turf, and it's coming out great. We're going to do more integration between blogging and newsfeed reading, and improve performance in the user interface. There are some things in Radio that were too hard to do. We're making them easier.
