I think most of the folks here read or at least know about that 
group.  I don't see the harm in continuing it here.  

This does raise the question of how much info is enough in a headline 
feed?  Really, before long you're getting pretty close to just as 
much data as the content would include.  

However, the headline feeds might be best suited to use on 
intermittently connected devices.  Handhelds, dial ups, laptops, 
etc.  If there was some sort of synchrony between the headline and 
the content feeds it might be possible for a client to request 'more' 
data from the content feed source based on it's absence from the 
headline feed.  This is that 'unique ID' question.
