I agree. I was disagreeing with Aaron's assertion that numbers
alone would be adequate differentiation..

Yes, but Microsoft didn't have to deal with IBM promoting a different
operating system using the Windows name.
RSS is not Windows. It's nowhere near as famous. It doesn't have the
advertising and PR budget of Windows, nor the teams of marketing and sales
people to explain the subtleties. Further, every subsequent version of
Windows is meant to obsolete all previous versions. Not true here.
RSS is damaged goods. We're (hopefully) trying to undo the damage, so that
the users can get busy making their magic happen.
