RE: [syndication] Re: advertising in syndicated feeds

Haha! No, not at all, really! :D

Guess I should have been clearer in my original post. I was looking at it
from a business case standpoint. My rationale is this: we want businesses to
provide more content via feeds, right? What is their motive?

Content generators can use it to drive users to their site, so they have a
valid business model.

But what about aggregators who compile links to other sites instead of their
own?

I'm not saying aggregators must have a business model -- in fact the best
ones are free and are doing a great job -- but I'm just curious how that
could/would be addressed from a business standpoint.

Like I said, I can see Moreover's business model, I was just tossing this
out there to see what other people think. This stuff fascinates me to no
end.

If nobody cares, no skin off my nose. :)

And no, I wasn't advocating ad blocking, just facing what I perceive as the
reality: the easier it is to block them, the more people will do so. That's
why DoubleClick and many others moved to iframes for their ads, to make it
more difficult for basic ad blockers to work.
