This bookmarklet is really simple, and I think I've got one that 
works on almost all browsers.

As for Lynx, etc. yes, that's true, but how many folks use Lynx 
and Headline Viewer?

I've got no problem with that... I'll write the Bookmarklets, 
you want to register the MIME types?
