Validation

Since we're talking about validation of feeds, a pointer seems in
order (I'd forgotten about this):

I've started putting together an XML Schema for RSS, but there aren't
enough stable, available implementations to use yet. Hopefully, this
will change.

Finally, it would be really cool if we had a documented, reliable way
to detect the version of an RSS file. It's pretty easy to come up
with a heuristic on your own, but I think it might be better if the
community agreed on one. Any takers?
