That's good to hear.  It seems this should be the default behavior 
for a feed consumer.  If the clients will safely handle this 'bogus' 
element then we'd be one step closer to implementing one 'for real'.  
But armed with the knowledge that the existing client base won't 
freak.

As for conditional handling, I'm not suggesting that.  I'm just 
looking for a way to identify the various kits involved in making 
feeds.  Some of them have defects.  But rather than step feed-by-
feed, getting the kits to put in generator info might be faster.  
This might lead to a quick way to find the defects and fix them en-
masse.
