Livejournal have fixed the <link> tag in each <item>. The developers
seem to be focussed on this area at the moment, so if you have any
suggestions, use their support form at 
http://www.livejournal.com/support/submit.bml
to get them in the system.

To view some sample RSS, you can go to the front page, click on "random"
in the left menu and add "RSS" on the end of the url. eg 
http://www.livejournal.com/users/althaea/rss

Clearly it would be more use if the <item> contained a <description> and
I don't know yet why they don't.
