Just reading the lawyer's letter at 
http://www.vertexdev.com/patent_wiki/index.php?page=ActualLicensingLetter
A short quote caught my eye. 

"Implementations of the well-known Resource Description Framework ("RDF")
and RDF Site Summary ("RSS") technologies..."

Don't they know that RSS doesn't stand for anything? It's not an acronym
it's a word. ;-) Haven't they been reading this mailing list for the last
year and a half?
