I'd suggest using DC.Title, DC.Decsription and CD.Coverage for the event
title, description and coverage -- where it's taking place.

I agree and its also a client side issue for the authoring of the
information -- a while ago I mocked up a inteface for a events module
that will get created at some point for MKDoc and I thought a select box
for time zone would be the way to do it:
