Radio and duplicates

Does anyone know how Radio checks for duplicates in incoming RSS items?
It's been reported to me that Radio is treating this feed as if every
time a new item is added to the top, all the rest of them are new as
well. 

I can't see anything in the XML that would change from day to day and
I've currently got it set so that the RSS contains the last 7 days of
posts.
