After reading the thread so far, the answer seems to be no. My initial
comment which kicked it off was the result of a lack of thought (ahem!).
It's all coming back to me. So here's a few more comments with
insufficient thought behind them ;-)
- Your use of named params in a struct is a *Good Thing*, IMHO. It
allows you to be forgiving with extra or missing or badly ordered
params.
- I vaguely remember suggesting it might be useful to have a weblogs.com
clone that worked with URLs that had RSS instead of HTML on the other
end. I don't think http://newhome.weblogs.com/stories/storyReader$44
is it. Your implementation seems to be closer.
- But weblogs.com and the RCS (sp?) has quite a bit of other
functionality that has spawned all sorts of other interesting
experiments.
- I'd still like to see a page of recently updated RSS URLs generated
from pings from RSS producers. I think we could do a lot with it.
