Or to get the validators improved.

How about an estimate be made of how many places are producing and/or consuming
OCS?

I can speak for Syndic8 in saying that supporting the new format, even if it
breaks the old consumers, is something we'd be willing to do.  Right now the
entire catalog can be accessed via OCS.  OCS is also available to Syndic8 users
for their personal lists.  So we've got enough source data to make for a good
experiment.

I've personally not seen that many client programs that consume OCS.
Newzcrawler being the one with which I'm most familiar.  Andrew and his bunch
would probably be more than willing to adapt how it handles new formats.

So the questions are who's producing and consuming OCS?
