question about versions and compatibility

Sorry but my english is not so good as i'd like ;)

I've a web page like www.syndic8.com called www.sindicon.com for the spanish
comunity.

I've a quastion about the different versions in RSS. For example, in
versions 0.9x we have a "tag" like <rss version="0.9x"> and i know ths this
XML file is this version. But ¿how can i see if the file is in 1.0 or 2.0
version?

Another question is for example, in version 0.93 we have the
<webMaster></webMaster> but, in the spec 1.0 don't appears. Is compatible
<webMaster> with the 1.0 specification?
