I'd prefer to see it used in the context of trust or reputation modeling.

As in, wrap the data in semantically intelligent ways.

Wrap up what you read with trust/reputation data.  It then becomes possible to
pivot out across those links based on your markup.

This is *precisely* why using RDF's concepts are valuable.  Instead of
obfuscating the data behind some overly complex markup, the use of basic triples
makes it possible to search for the data in much more flexible ways.  But that's
fodder for a whole other discussion.
