Re: [syndication] RSS and Outlook

Hi
does anyone have or know of a website that explains in very easy
terms how I can read RSS feeds in various versions of Microsoft
Outlook and Outlook Express.
I'm currently in the process of writing a brief non-technical help
page for users of our planned RSS service and would like to give them
all the help they can from the start.
Also, can anyone recommend a list free and easy to use RSS readers.
Finally, can you setup email accounts like Hotmail and Yahoo to read
RSS feeds or is this just a ridiculous proposition.
Two good lists of aggregators are Yahoo's and DMOZ's:

http://dmoz.org/Reference/Libraries/Library_and_Information_Science/Technical_Services/Cataloguing/Metadata/RDF/Applications/RSS/News_Readers/
As you can see from the list, there's a large number of aggregators
available. Roughly speaking, they can be broken down as follows:
- web-based services
- stand-alone desktop programs
- plugins to Outlook
I believe the most popular (only?) way to read RSS in Outlook is using
Newsgator, at http://www.newsgator.com
As for your last question, I'm guessing you're asking if there are free
web-based news aggregator services. I humbly suggest checking out our
web-based news aggregator, Bloglines, at http://www.bloglines.com . We
have all the features (and more) of the desktop-based aggregators,
without having to download anything. And we're completely free.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Mark
