One interesting use of syndication technology that has shown up recently is
the "Event Aggregator." For example: * http://feedster.com/pdc/

What was the first event aggregator? I ask, partially because I am curious,
and partly ebcause I may have a claim to it.

An event aggregator, as the previous message said, "collect posts from event
attendees, and compile
them into one page." It's not a conference blog, in
which various attendees post to a single, specialized blog. In an
event aggregator, people post to their own blogs, and the aggregator
harvests them, filters them, and displays posts related to the event.

My first event aggregator was the MERLOT feed http://www.downes.ca/merlot.htm
produced by Edu_RSS http://www.downes.ca/cgi-bin/xml/edu_rss.cgi
August 5-8, 2003.

Does anyone know of an earlier event aggregated by an event
aggregator? I am a close watcher of this field, but I missed any
reference to an earlier one. Doesn't mean there wasn't, though.
