I'd recommend that any news publisher using NITF seriously consider 
using RSS for the LISTING of what's available, and just have the RSS 
<link> values point to the NITF version of the file. Alternatively, 
for a boatload of more functionality (but with more complexity), the 
NewsML standard is also designed to package up groups of available 
documents.

As was written previously, XSLT is a good way to go to convert NITF 
into customized HTML. We've posted a "starter" NITF-to-HTML XSLT 
stylesheet up at <http://www.nitf.org>.
