I'm confused

I'm embarking on some XML related projects, and went to review what was
happening in this list to get geared up since we currently have over a
quarter of a million XML requests per day (almost all RSS v0.9).

I'm confused. When did Netscape release RSS into the public domain and say
they are hands off? I personally connect RSS and Netscape together, and
figure end-users do as well. What if Netscape decided on something
different? So sadly, we can not use any of the revisions proposed here.

But I'd like to! A long time ago we also supported ScriptingNews format.
Different format, different brand, clear owner. Easy.

So, does anyone have experience with ICE? Perhaps a simplified way of
working with it?
