Invitation to join

Hi All

We recently launched  a newsdigest dedicated to the online content syndication industry

We do not concerned so much with tech – occasionally and superficially – but we look

At the business models and market efficiencies of the online information systems.

Just dropping a line to invite anyone interested on the list to sign up

Enclosed issue 1

Cheers

Dear Content-wire Reader,

Thanks for signing up to receive ‘Syndication news’, our Headlines digest dedicated to the online content syndication biz.

This is the first issue, meaning that we are sending you a link to most of the syndication news that we have published to date, or at least the most meaningful ones. Next issue will be thinner.

Please note that they are listed alphabetically, not chronologically.

This week we are announcing a collaboration with Oskar Consulting , and we are launching our own syndication programme – syndicate content-wire news from us directly.

What more could we possibly do to amaze everyone?

We are going to grow with you, readers and industry players.

We want to know who you are, what you do, what’s useful.

We want to receive you news and comments if you are in the biz.

Let us know what you think

Subject: [syndication] Announce: RSS 0.93 open for discussion

Two announcements.

1. I started a new page for notes on RSS 0.93, which is an evolution of RSS 0.92. [1]

2. Not wanting to revisit old issues, I started a new mailing list only for discussion of the evolution of non-RDF-based syndication formats. It's an open list, however the discussion is limited to evolution, not rewriting the spec for formats that are already widely deployed. The focus is on simplicity and meeting the needs of authors, tool-makers and content engineers. It's OK if you don't agree with this philosophy, please do not try to hold us back. Thanks in advance. ;-> [2]

3. I will remain on the Syndication mail list, and participate, as time permits, in discussions that take place here.

Yours truly in forward motion,

Dave
