We've been talking about Feed and Item categories on the Syndic8 list.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/syndic8/message/678 and onwards.

The ideas are not finalized, but it's become apparent that there's a
real need to add some category information into the <channel> sections
of both 0.9x and 1.0 but also into OCS.

So what's the state of play in 0.93, 1.0 taxonomy module and further
development on OCS? Has the standards development process stalled? Or is
there a chance of moving it forwards?
