Using feeds for time/event data?

Hi all,

Has anyone given consideration to using RSS or feeds for the 
distribution of event data?  It would be interesting to be able to 
find events from feeds.  It would be even more interesting to find 
events based on time AND geographic data.

Has anyone done this?
