In the last few weeks, I've written an event tracking module somewhat
similar to the Yahoogroups calendar. I'd already considered creating a
feed with it for sharing among a group of communities. There is a
problem here that an Event needs quite a bit more atomic data associated
with it than just title, link, description. I could just invent tag
extensions and leave the summary in the RSS tags. That way it would
still be useful to RSS readers but provide a syndication route to people
who understood the extensions.
