You could do this with a more open pub/sub mechanism. Specifically the
aggregators would subscribe to a URL that changes frequently and request
updates. This would be of a greater scope than just RSS weblogs. I have been
thinking about a similar mechanism that uses UDP (for efficiency) with higher
level API bindings.
