Two things, one is you might want to use XHTML compatible line breaks.  <br/>
instead of <BR>.  Even then using that many of the to somehow mimic the 'scroll
down' effect is probably not such a good idea.  Given people are reading feeds
for brevity and speed it might not be a good idea to annoy them by making feed
items that gobble up the screen.  It's up to you, of course.

There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the <link> elements you're using.
You might want to make use of an A HREF in the description instead of leaving it
in the <link> alone.  Something like this:
