Re: [syndication] How about a [syndicate] wiki?

Its not my site, but I would suggest using a system which does not back to a database. I bet syndic8 is pretty busy as it is. If the pages are generated statically (when changed rather than when accessed) the response time will be much better. Sushi does back to a database or to files as one prefers.

I'd greatly prefer to use a db-backed environment. Mainly to allow integration
with other user features of syndic8. Like dealing with single sign-on and the
like. But also to allow the syndic8 member roles to be used as well.

I can write an RSS exporter if one's missing.

I tried using twiki some time ago (last summer) and it was a bit of an adventure
to setup.

Do you have an opinion of tavi?
http://tavi.sourceforge.net/

I've installed it as a test and it was a *snap* to setup.

I'm a little partial to TWiki because of the size of their developer
community and the fact that they support RSS ;) They don't, however,
support MySQL as a backend - they use RSS and flatfiles from perl CGIs.

Several of the other Wiki projects *do* use mysql+php, but none of them
seem quite as lively as twiki.
