advice for syndication novice

I am a newcomer to the RSS world. Any advice on which tool to use to 
a)track feeds on selected topics and b)output these feeds to an HTML 
page (my personal site). I've looked at O'Reilly's Meerkat and it 
looks fine in terms of its coverage but i am not sure how I can 
output say the results in one of my "profiles" or "mobs" to my own 
webpage. What's the state-of-the-art, easy-to-use syndication tool 
that does not required sophisticated programming skills other than 
HTML and simple XML? Many thanks.
