I'm with folks on the idea of getting something embedded into a page
that directly assists a feed client being used. However, in the mean
time, how about a link of some kind that points to an HTML page about
the various feeds that might be available? Might that be a good
first step?

I'm thinking of what it's going to take to get the various people
providing the material to get on board. Getting them to embed
something that supports a currently non-existant reader seems a bit
unreasonable. Getting them to put in a <link> and an <A> tag for a
whole other page about syndication might be easier.

Then we can work on them altering THAT page to interface to the
readers. And if that succeeds then reworking direct client support
into pertinent pages will be a lot simpler.

In reading the <link> tag documentation, there's lots of good reasons
for a provider to consider using them. But it's going unused since
there's very little support in the browsers commonly found in the
field. A classic chicken and the egg situation.
